Upper Ganga Canal Expressway: After 11 Years Of Wait, Project Set To Revolutionize Connectivity Between Gr Noida And Dehradun

The length of the route will be 147.8 Km. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 8700 crore.

Uttar Pradesh is the fourth largest state in India area-wise. The proposal for the Upper Ganga Canal Expressway has been withdrawn again. The project was shelved 11 years back. The project has been brought again after 11 years.

The expressway whenever completed will connect the Greater Noida with Pukazi located in Dehradun. It will cross Sonata, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Deoband. In the year 2013, the construction of this project got started but later went into the shelf.

About The Project

The length of the route will be 147.8 Km. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 8700 crore. It will start from the Upper Ganga Canal, from the Sanauta Bridge located in Bulandshahr, and will go to Purkazi situated in Muzaffarnagar. The project will have eight lanes. The expressway will support the navigation facilities on the route.
