The education ministry clarified that they had not released the revised NEET UG 2024 results yet, despite allegations that the National Testing Agency (NTA) issued them today after the Supreme Court’s decision to retract the previously awarded compensatory marks.

“Students are unable to access the results on it. It will be released soon. The link is an old link,” the ministry noted.

The link shared on the official NEET website under the title ‘Click Here for NEET 2022 Revised Scorecard!’ was actually an old link.

Initially, the NTA awarded additional marks to a group of students who answered a Physics question based on an incorrect reference in their old Class 12 NCERT science textbook. However, the Supreme Court decided that only the correct answer should be accepted, and any other responses would not receive marks. Consequently, the scores of 44 candidates who had achieved a perfect score of 720/720 and secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 were adjusted down by five marks, costing them their top positions.

How to download scorecards

Candidates can access the revised NEET UG 2024 scorecards on the official NTA website when it is finally updated. Click here to download the revised NEET UG scorecards (when available).

Impact on students

Out of the affected students, only 813 candidates, or 52%, appeared for the retest. The revised results mean a significant reshuffling of ranks, especially for those initially listed as toppers. Following the Supreme Court’s verdict, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed that the NTA would release a new merit list within two days. Students are advised to carefully review their credentials in the revised results to ensure accuracy.

This year’s NEET UG exam, held on May 5, saw a substantial turnout with 13,31,321 female candidates, 9,96,393 male candidates, and 17 transgender candidates participating. The initial results had garnered attention with 67 candidates announced as AIR 1 before the revision.
