Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident that came to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad district, a woman was allegedly burnt alive by a youth and his friends. According to media reports, the 33-year-old victim was returning home last Saturday after purchasing medicine when Deepak, her stalker, along with five others, set her ablaze.
The main accused, Deepak, a resident of Jaitpur village, had been stalking the victim for the past few months, reports added. Following the tragic incident, the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital. Due to severe burns, she was referred to the medical college hospital in the Etawah district. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her burn injuries on Sunday.
Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Deepak and his friends in connection with the case, and efforts are underway to track and arrest them. The victim was married and had two children, DH reported. She lived with her family in a rented apartment in Fatehgarh. Her father alleged that Deepak had been continuously pressuring his daughter to become his friend for the past few months. An investigation is underway into the matter.
In a separate incident, Nikki, a resident of Greater Noida’s Sirsa village, was brutally murdered by her husband, Vipin Bhati, on August 21, 2025. Horrifying footage showed her being thrashed by him and another woman before being set on fire. She was initially taken to Noida’s Fortis Hospital but later died on her way to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital.
