Meena has been staying at her father’s place in Soharka since Rakshabandhan. A family member claimed that Sundar was visiting her daily and also sharing meals with her family members. On Sunday night, he again went over and took her back to his house.

The Man Confronted Meera Over Dowry Issue

At home, he confronted Meena on the issue of dowry. She could not make arrangements for it, so he beat her with sticks, strangled her, and ran. The locals informed the police about the murder and the family of the girl came to the police station asking for Sundar’s arrest.

Meena’s father, Vijay Khadak Banshi, has complained to her husband, mother, sister, and four others. A police case had already been registered based on the complaint by the family, said a senior official.

The woman’s body has been sent for a post-mortem, and the police are searching for the accused.
