According to complaint lodged by the woman, she had first connected with Chaudhary three years ago on social media when he portrayed himself as a journalist named Deepak. As their association progressed, she moved in with him in September 2022.
The complainant alleged that Chaudhary coerced her into converting to Islam and forced her to consume beef, going against her personal beliefs and wishes. Furthermore, she disclosed that she had been pregnant for almost four weeks, and Chaudhary compelled her to terminate the pregnancy, subjecting her to a traumatic experience. To make matters worse, she claimed to have suffered sexual assault and physical beatings at his hands.
“After receiving the complaint of the woman, an FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and the Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act at Vijay Nagar police station,” PTI quoted Nipun Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police as saying on July 21.
