New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi severely criticised the Centre while sharing a picture of train’s compartment overpopulated by the candidates going to appear for UP PET.
Gandhi shared the picture and pointed out at the fact there are a few vacancies at Group B and C but at least 37 lakh application have been submitted.
He came down heavily on Narendra Modi-led central government saying that every year youth is being promised of millions of jobs but gets nothing.
Wrote the Congress leader on Twitter: “These youths were promised 20 million jobs annually, but in this picture the helplessness of the educated unemployed youth of the country is visible. It is clear that the Prime Minister is sitting blindly while the youth bears the blunt of it.”

In the picture, a large part of the passengers were youth going to appear for the government jobs examination. There are several other pictures and clips on internet showing chaos at railway stations and bus stands created by the youth.
A Twitter user shared a video of Kanpur station claiming that the paltform was crowded by those going to appear for UP PET.
UP PET is being conducted for Group B and C which will take place on two days. The first exam was today, the next will be conducted tomorrow.
