UP News: Private Bus Catches Fire In Hathras; Passengers Jump To Safety | VIDEO

A stampede-like situation was created after the passengers witnessed flames rising from the bus. They immediately jumped out of the bus to save their lives after the driver stopped the vehicle.

A private bus caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway near Hathras, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening while traveling to Bihar from Delhi. The passengers reportedly had a narrow escape in the incident, which occurred near Hathras’s Midhawali village.

According to reports, the bus was going from Wazirabad in Delhi to Supaul in Bihar. The bus caught fire at about 8 PM, however, no casualties were reported, Police said.

The officials suspected the fire started from luggage placed on the top of the bus.

Reports stated that a stampede-like situation was created after the passengers witnessed flames rising from the bus. They immediately jumped out to save their lives after the driver stopped the bus.

Firemen, and police officials, arrived at the spot and controlled the blaze. However, the video circulating online showed fire completely engulfing the bus.

The fire led to temporary traffic jam on Yamuna Expressway, reports revealed.
