A tragic incident has been reported from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where a 22-year-old woman died after jumping from the 16th floor of the Migsun Twiinz Society. According to the police, the woman worked in a private company and was living in a flat with her friends. Moments before the incident, she was reportedly speaking to someone on the phone, after which she suddenly leapt from the balcony.
No suicide note found
Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information. No suicide note was found at the scene and the exact reason behind the suicide is still unclear. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Officials said that call records and aspects related to the woman’s personal life are being investigated to determine what may have led to the step.
The society’s security officer informed the police that the victim, identified as Shaalu (22), daughter of Naresh and a resident of Shamli, jumped from the balcony of Tower Sun-5’s 16th floor. A police team from the Surajpur police station along with the field unit inspected the spot.
Friends were unaware of her plan
Initial inquiry suggests that she took the step immediately after finishing a phone call. Police have seized her mobile phone and other belongings for further examination.
Officers have also questioned the friends who lived with her. They stated that they had no idea she was planning such an act and became aware of the incident only after she had jumped. At the time of the incident, one friend was cooking in the kitchen, while the others were outside the flat. The woman had been residing there with four friends. She had lost both her parents earlier.
The police have informed her brother and further investigation is underway.
