Surat: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister KP Maurya here on Sunday hit out at Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for keeping ‘silence’ on the grusome murder of Shraddha Walker, which has shocked the nation.
“Congress’ Priyanka Gandhi says ‘beti hun lad sakti hun’ but has not spoken a word on this incident,” said Maurya.
The Deputy CM further asked, “Why is she silent? Because speaking something here would jeopardize their vote banks.”
The Shraddha Walker murder case pertains to a killing of a Mumbai resident. Shraddhra, the victim was living in a live-in relationship with her lover Aftab Ameen Poonawalla in Delhi’s Chhattapur area.
Aftab is accused of strangling Shraddha Walker and chopping her body into 35 pieces. The accused was allegedly high on marijuana when he committed the crime, sources said. He then, dumped the pieces to Mehrauli’s forest.

In the Gujarat Assembly elections, 3,24,422 new voters will cast their vote for the first time. The total number of voting centers is 51,782.
