UP Crime: 6, Including 2 Minors, Brutally Killed Over Family Dispute; Villagers In Terror

Six, including two children and a woman, were killed in Uttar Pradesh's Deoria district after a brawl broke out on Monday.

UP Crime: Six, including two children and a woman, were killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district after a brawl broke out on Monday due to an old land dispute between the two families involved in the case. Entire village has been sensationalised by the incident.

There was a long standing dispute between the two parties regarding land in Fatehpur village of Rudrapur area. On Monday morning, one party had beated former District Panchayat member Prem Yadav to death, which sparked the violence in the village.

Following the death of Yadav, a mob reached at the residence of accused and killed Satya Prakash Dubey. After that, two innocent children, a woman and a young man from Satya Prakash Dubey’s family were also killed by the mob.

There are also reports of arson in many houses. However, this also question the local police who did not take action at time. The local police has been accused of not even trying to stop the violence. As per the information, the police was aware about the dispute already.

However, a heavy security has been deployed at the incident spot now while the tension has gripped people in the village.

CM Yogi Responds 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended condolences to the people affected by the incidents. He wrote on X: “The unfortunate incident in Deoria district is extremely sad and condemnable. My condolences are with the bereaved family. After reaching the spot, ADG/Commissioner/IG has been instructed to take strictest action and district administration officials have been instructed to provide proper treatment to the injured. The culprits of this incident will not be spared at any cost.”
