SP MLA House Raid: In a raid, police and Labour Enforcement Department officials rescued a 14-year-old girl, who worked as a child laborer, from the Bhadohi residence of Samajwadi Party MLA Zahid Beg on Tuesday. The raid came a day after a domestic help of the same house died by suicide.

Domestic Help Suicide And Child Labor: Case Against SP MLA Zahid Beg
Nazia, the domestic help who ended her life on Monday, had been working at Beg’s house for the past eight years, said Superintendent of Police Meenakshi Katyayan.
The rescued girl was also working as a domestic helper at the MLA’s house. She has been sent for a medical check-up.
Officials said that the labor department is preparing to file a case against the MLA for both Nazia’s death and employing the minor girl.
