Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Monday alleges that the police of several constituencies, which are undergoing elections today, is acting as “Bharatiya Janata Party agents” by beating up Muslim voters.
Sharing several videos on its Twitter handle, the Samajwadi Party alleged that the BJP is pulling strings to stop Muslim population to vote.
In one of its post, the party said, “Khatauli CO Rakesh Kumar Singh is working as an agent of BJP. Seeing the Aadhaar card of Muslim voters, keep scolding them and making them go back. Election Commission should take cognizance, suspend the CO immediately and ensure fair elections!”

In another post, the Akhilesh Yadav-led SP said that the police personnel have been checking voter IDs of those who are arriving to cast their votes while pointing out that they have no rights to do so.

The party also mentioned that the BJP has been allegedy distributing money to buy votes at booth number 250 in Mohalla Pathariya of Bhogaon Vidhansabha. It has asked the Election Commission to take immediate action.
Meanwhile, in several videos the alleged victim have been sharing that the police forces are sending them back home, stopping them to cast votes. In one of the videos, two men allged that the police tore down their slip and asked them to go home.
