A brutal case of gangrape in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district has taken the internet by storm. A businessman has recently lodged a complaint against a group of people accused of theft and raping his wife.
A businessman of Bijnor district accused a group of men who robbed his house in his absence and gangraped his wife. He also alleged that the thieves robbed gold jewellery, 2 kg silver items, Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, a scooter and an LED TV installed in the house.
The incident reportedly took place when the businessman took his mother and two children to a doctor. If reports are to be believed then five accused entered the house, tied his wife and intoxicated her. Later they broke the lock of the almirahs and rooms, looted money and jewellery.
According to the media reports, the police first denied to register the case, however they gradually registered the complaint as the incident circulated in the media.
However, this was not the first time that the businessman encountered such an incident as an earlier case of theft took place at his house where the robbers looted Rs 80,000 in cash.
According to Superintendent of Police Neeraj Jadaun’s statement to IANS, the businessman wanted to lodge a complaint against the accused, but the police instead of taking the complaint assured him of taking necessary action.
Finally the police registered a complaint against the accused in connection with the matter under relevant sections related to robbery and gangrape.
