Uttar Pradesh: The Varanasi gangrape has not even settled in, another brutal case of rape has emerged. In a recent shocking incident, a girl was gangraped in broad daylight in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj. According to reports, the victim went with her fiance to a picnic point in Nadrai Aqueduct at Hazara Canal where more than half a dozen people raped her.
Accused Threatened The Victim And Beat Up Her Fiance
The accused dragged the girl into a room built on Hazara Canal while her fiance was beaten up outside. The horrific incident came to light when she visited her family after her health deteriorated. So far, five people have been arrested while police are searching for others who were involved in the incident. Police said that the accused raped her one by one inside the room.
Varanasi Gang Rape: 12 Arrested So Far
Meanwhile, the recent case of gang rape of a 19-year-old girl in Varanasi by 23 men over 7 days has now reportedly pulled the lid off a big sex racket spanning multiple states. According to Dainik Bhaskar’s report, investigations into the case have revealed a disturbing development that involved the exploitation of multiple girls. Earlier, 9 individuals were arrested in connection to the case. Now, the 12 arrested people are alleged to be a part of a wider criminal operation.
Objectionable Content Found In Accused’s Phone
Reports stated that the nude videos of 546 girls were found on the mobile phones of these arrested individuals. They shared them across various other locations – Maharashtra, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu (including Uttar Pradesh). Police recovered some customer data from one of the accused’s iPhones. Uttar Pradesh’s Cafe owner, Anmol Gupta, the mastermind of the sex racket, has kept objectionable pictures and videos of girls in his phone.
