UP: 18-Yr-Old Beheads Little Sisters, Aged 6 & 4, To Conceal Her Dirty Secret; Arrested

An 18-year-old woman kills her little sisters in order to conceal her dirty secret.

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of her two younger sisters, aged six and four. The incident took place in a village located in the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. She brutally beheaded the two young girls in their home to hide her dirty secret. The minor girls found Anjali engaging in an intimate act with her partner in the absence of their parents, which ultimately led to her committing the heinous act.

The horrifying event unfolded around 8 pm on Sunday in Bahadurpur village, situated under the jurisdiction of the Balrai police station. The six-year-old victim has been identified as Surbhi while the four-year-old is Roshni. Their lifeless bodies, brutally mutilated, were discovered in separate rooms of their residence, as confirmed by a police officer.

Prashant Kumar, the Inspector General of Police (IG) for the Kanpur range, stated that the two minors, daughters of Jaiveer Singh, allegedly met a drastic end at the hands of their elder sister, Anjali Pal, who is 18 years old. He further disclosed that Anjali had confessed to the crime.

“We are trying to ascertain the motive in this case,” mentioned Kumar, who is leading the investigation, as reported by Hindustan Times.

According to the report, the police have also interrogated three men along with the accused woman, all related to the case filed under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (concealing evidence or providing false information) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The murder weapon, identified as a spade, was discovered within the house, alongside the attire worn by the accused on the day of the incident. Bloodstains were found on both the spade and the clothing, despite apparent attempts to wash away evidence, according to law enforcement officers.

Jaiveer, along with his wife Sushila and their sons Nand Kishore (12) and Kanhaiya (8), was not present at home when the tragedy unfolded, the publication noted.

Initially, Anjali reported to the police that upon her return home, she had found her sisters’ lifeless bodies in one room, while their severed heads were located in another, as per the report.

The spade belonged to Jaiveer Pal and was recovered from the house, informed the police that although he had used it in the morning, it appeared to have been cleaned. Additionally, officers noted the presence of clothes left outside to dry.

Reportedly, the accused provided inconsistent accounts of her activities throughout the day during police questioning, leading to her arrest for further interrogation.

“She admitted to the crime and was taken into custody on Monday afternoon. She told the police that she went to the fields after the murder and returned just as her father and brothers were pulling up,” shared a senior officer anonymously. “She has also been given a medical checkup. Further investigation is underway.”

As per the reports, Anjali was engaging in an intimate act with her partner in the absence of their parents and the minor girls saw her, which ultimately led to her committing the heinous act.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
