The tragic attack on tourists on April 22 at Baisaran Pahalgam claimed the lives of 25 tourists and a local, sending shockwaves through the country. However, the spirit of faith among devotees remains unshaken. A passionate pilgrim told News24 that, “Mata Kheer Bhawani is our Kul Devi, and visiting her is our sacred duty. We will not be deterred by fear; this is our land.”

First-time visitor Seema echoed this sentiment, expressing her determination to experience the spiritual atmosphere of the temple. “I am not afraid. These attacks are meant to instill fear, but we must stand strong in our faith,” she said confidently.

Jammu Kashmir Police and administration have taken proactive measures to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims amidst these challenging circumstances. More than 60 buses have already been deployed to facilitate the pilgrimage, with additional services expected as the date approaches.
