Unnao: Two gangrape accused of a 11-year-old Dalit girl allegedly put the latter’s house on fire due to which, two infants inside the house suffered severe burn putting them in a critical condition. One of the kids was the victim’s son who was born out of the gang-rape.
The incident has been reported from a village of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh. “Two infants, including the seven-month-old son of the survivor and a two-month-old daughter of her relative sustained burns injuries and are undergoing treatment at the hospital,” said Santosh Kumar Singh, Purwa, Circle officer.
The accused were recently released from the jail on parole after which they reached the victim’s house whom they sexually assaulted last year. The accused barged into the house to threaten the family for withdrawing the case.
“Aman and Satish, who were released on bail from jail a month ago, along with his colleagues reached home on Monday evening and pressured us to withdraw the case,” the victim’s mother said.
As the victim refused to do so and firmed on to go with her complain, the accused started beating her up along with her mother. They used sticks to launch attaks and also kicked the two men to make them take back the case.
However, the two persisted after which, he set the thatched shed on fire leaving the kids, the victim and her mother injured.
7-months old son, 3-months old sister
One of the infants was the son of the sexual assault survivor after she was impregnanted by the accused last year while, the another kid was the victim’s sister; mere 3-months-old.
As per chief medical superintendent Sushil Srivastava, the boy suffered 35 per cent burns while, her sister had 45 per cent burns in the incident. Seeing their deteriorating condition, the two kids were reffered to Kanpur for better treatment.
Earlier in 2021, the minor girl who is a resident of a village in the Maurawan police station area was allegedly raped by five people in the village. The Maurawan police registered a case against Roshan, Satish, Arun, Ranjit, and Aman for gang rape and registered a case under POCSO Act.
