ISOMES Orientation Program: ISOMES students had the opportunity to interact with Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Party Chief Chirag Paswan during an Orientation program held on Friday, October 4. The event was organized by ISOMES, the flagship media college of BAG Films & Media Ltd and News24 Network, on its 20th anniversary.
The program commenced with an auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest Mr Chirag Paswan, alongside Mrs Anuradha Prasad, the CMD of BAG Films & Media Ltd, News24 Channel Head Mr Ajay Azad, Veteran Journalists Rajiv Ranjan and Sukesh Ranjan, and ISOMES Director Ms Tanuja Shankar.
In his inspiring speech at ISOMES, Cabinet Minister Paswan elaborated on the importance of clarity of focus and hard work towards achieving the goals. He encouraged the students to remain firm in their decisions, despite criticism or appreciation. During the program, he shared insights from his film and political journey, as he engaged in a discussion with the veteran anchor of News24 Network Asha Jha.
While responding to the questions of the students, Chirag highlighted that if one makes his passion a profession, nothing is more valuable than that. He further stated that one should not feel disheartened by any adverse situations in life. He also stressed the fact that the biggest failure is when we get defeated in our hearts.
Additionally, he said that it’s not bad to be over-ambitious as striving for more leads to significant results. He even encouraged the new students to bring world-class recognition to their institution through their hard work and talent.
In her opening remarks, CMD Anuradha Prasad recalled ISOMES’s accomplishments over the past 20 years and called it a historic journey. She mentioned that the institution has consistently produced trained professionals in both technical and creative media fields, with graduates now thriving in leading media organizations. She addressed the new students and encouraged them to work diligently towards their aspirations, assuring them that the media and entertainment industry is eager to embrace their talents.
The event also featured insights from News24 Network veterans, starting with Channel Head Ajay Azad, who discussed the challenges of becoming successful media professionals. Popular and well-known Anchor Manak Gupta addressed the potential and challenges of AI in anchoring, while veteran journalist Rajeev Ranjan shared his field reporting experiences, urging students to engage in thorough research. Senior journalist Sukesh Ranjan cautioned them about the obstacles on their journey to becoming journalists and offered tips to overcome them. The program was hosted by veteran anchor Asha Jha.
