Amit Shah at Munger Rally- Bihar Polls Are About Stopping Jungle Raj, NDA to Fight Like Five Pandavas

Elections for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with the counting of votes set for November 14.

Bihar Elections: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday highlighted the significance of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, stating that the polls are not merely about electing MLAs or ministers, but about preventing the return of “Jungle Raj” in the state. Addressing a public rally in Munger, Shah criticised RJD and launched scathing attacks on former Chief Ministers Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi.

Amit Shah Slams RJD

Criticising the previous Lalu-Rabri government, Shah claimed that years of misgovernance had stalled Bihar’s development, and asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the state has been progressing steadily. He emphasised on the upcoming polls, stating that this election is about ensuring that the Jungle Raj does not return to Bihar.

“On the upcoming 6th November, the first phase of the election will take place in Bihar. This election is not about making someone MLA, Minister, or Chief Minister, but about ensuring that Jungle Raj does not return to Bihar. The government of Lalu and Rabri has implemented Jungle Raj for many years, leading to the destruction of Bihar. Bihar moves forward on the path of development under the leadership of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar. If Lalu-Rabri return, then jungle raj will also return,” Shah stated.

NDA to Fight Like Five Pandavas, Says Amit Shah

Taking a dig at the Mahagathbandhan, Shah asserted that all five parties of the NDA will fight these elections like the five Pandavas with unity. He highlighted that the Grand Alliance neither has a leader nor any intention. “All five parties of the NDA will fight these elections like the five Pandavas with unity. On the other hand, due to ticket distribution, there has been turmoil within the Mahagathbandhan. They neither have a leader nor an intention or leadership. We are fighting this election under the leadership of Nitish Kumar,” Shah added.

Speaking further, Shah stated that the NDA will work for the development of Munger and announced to establish an airport. He alleged that the RJD did nothing for Munger except promote corruption.

“The land of Munger has a historic connection with Lord Ram. We have also decided to link Munger with the Ram Circuit. Congress, SP, BSP, Mamata Banerjee, and Lalu Yadav have all opposed the building of the temple…Kastaharni Ghat and Mata Sita Charan Temple will also be developed, and near Khagaria, where our Yatra (Rath Yatra initiated by BJP in 1990 for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya) was halted in Samastipur, the BJP will establish a temple of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita… We are also planning to establish an airport in Munger… The Lalu and Rabri governments have done nothing but promote corruption,” Shah said.
