New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday held a virtual meeting with state health ministers and secretaries to discuss preparedness for covid-19.
For the last few days, the rate of covid cases has shown exponential growth in various states. The earlier centre had issued an advisory for states to track covid cases and be prepared for all medical situations.

Union Health Minister advised States to be on alert mode and keep all preparedness for COVID-19 management. He asked the State Health Ministers to conduct mock drills of all hospital infrastructure on the 10th and 11th of April, 2023 and review the health preparedness with district administrations and health officials on the 8th and 9th of April, 2023.
India on Friday reported 6,050 new Covid-19 cases and 14 deaths. The tally is 13 per cent higher than yesterday’s data. According to health ministry data, India registered 14 deaths and 6050 new cases. A total of 5,30,943 people have lost their lives.
Panic gripped India once again as Covid daily count is rising day by day. For the last several days, there is a continuous increase in Covid-19 cases in the country. Earlier, Covid seemed to be dying slowly in the country, but amidst the change in the weather, once again new cases have started increasing rapidly. The increase in cases has been rising continuously for the last 8 weeks.
