TV Somnathan is the Secretary of the Department of Expenditure at the Ministry of Finance and plays a crucial role in the preparation of Union Budget 2024. He discharges his responsibilities as Finance Secretary and is considered very close to Prime Minister Modi. Somnathan has been at the center of various budgets in critical positions.
Ajay Seth
Ajay Seth is an IAS officer from the 1987 batch and a member of Nirmala Sitharaman’s team at the Ministry of Finance. He is currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs. He played a key role in introducing India’s first Green Sovereign Green Bond.

Hari Ranjan Rao
Hari Ranjan Rao is a 1994-batch IAS officer in charge of the technology and governance sections of the PMO. He was Secretary to former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan before coming to the PMO and also worked in the Department of Telecommunications.

V. Anantha Nageswaran
V. Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor of India, inducted into team played the major role in the preparation of the Modi government 3.0’s first budget. Before that, Nageswaran was an integral part in the successful conduct of the G20 Summit.

Tuhiin Kant Pandey, secretary of DIPAM, has been very helpful in finalising the disinvestment of Air India and the IPO of LIC.
Arvind Srivastava
Arvind Srivastava, an IAS officer from the 1994 batch. He looks after the work of the ministries dealing with finance and corporate affairs. Srivastava plays a vital role in the preparation of Budget 2024.
