Union Budget 2023: Over 38,000 teachers to be appointed for Eklavya Model Schools; Centre
Union Budget 2023: The country's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the country's 75th budget today. This is the 5th time when Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the country's budget as the Finance Minister. She has termed this budget as a blueprint for the next year i.e. 2024, Lok Sabha elections are to be held next year.
38,800 teachers and supporting staff will be appointed in these schools
Presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman announced that over the next 3 years, the central government will appoint 38,800 teachers and support staff for 740 Eklavya Model Schools supporting tribal students. This will directly benefit 3.5 lakh tribal students.

What is Eklavya Model Schools?
Eklavya Model Schools are being developed to provide quality education to tribal students by emphasizing not only academic education but also the all-around development of tribal students.
Startups related to agriculture will be started
Along with this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to give priority to start-ups related to agriculture. She said that Agriculture Accelerator Fund will be created to encourage agri-startups by young entrepreneurs.
