A highly decomposed body of a woman was discovered in Bhiwandi city located in Thane district, Maharashtra, said the police on Tuesday. Authorities are suspecting the involvement of her live-in partner and a female friend in the murder of the 36-year-old woman, both of whom are currently missing.
As per the officials, it is believed that the woman may have been murdered with her throat slit approximately three to four days ago. The victim has been identified, though her name has not been disclosed at this time.
The officials were alerted to the gruesome discovery on Monday night when the owner of the room, situated in the Kongaon area, reported a foul odour emanating from it. Subsequently, the police forcibly entered the room and found the lifeless body of the woman in the kitchen, he added.
Neighbours have shared that the victim, a divorcee, had been residing in the room for the past 11 months. Investigations into this disturbing case are ongoing, as authorities work to uncover the truth surrounding the woman’s tragic demise.

Speaking of, an incident of a similar nature occurred in Bhadravathi on Monday. The victim, who hailed from Bharama Sagar in Chitradurga district was allegedly murdered by her live-in partner. Subsequently, the officials took the accused, the 30-year-old’s live-in partner, into custody.
A case against the accused identified as Singari has been registered.
