Srinagar: A major breakthrough in the fight against terror financing occurred today as Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) apprehended a key suspect in a covert operation conducted in Delhi. The arrest, stemming from FIR No. 02/2024 filed at the CIK Police Station, Srinagar shines a light on the intricate network funneling funds across the Line of Control (LOC) to support terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
The terrorist, identified as Parvez Ahmad Khan, also known by aliases PK, Sheikh Tajamul Islam, and Khalid, is accused of providing crucial logistical support, including financial assistance, to designated terrorist organizations operating within the Union Territory.
According to CIK sources, Khan acted as a key conduit in a complex web designed to transfer funds from across the LOC into India, facilitating terrorist operations.
“This arrest represents a significant victory in our ongoing efforts to dismantle terror financing networks,” a CIK spokesperson stated. “We have been closely monitoring this individual’s activities and meticulously planned this operation to ensure his apprehension.”

The CIK team, working in close collaboration with the CID cell of Delhi and the Delhi Police, meticulously tracked Khan’s movements, utilizing both technical and physical surveillance. Intelligence suggested Khan was actively evading authorities and planning to flee his current location. Acting swiftly on a warrant issued by a Srinagar court, the CIK team executed the arrest.
The operation, meticulously planned at CIK Headquarters, Srinagar reflects the agency’s commitment to disrupting the financial lifelines of terrorist groups. Khan is currently in transit from Delhi to Srinagar, where he will be presented before the issuing court.
“We anticipate further arrests in this case as our investigation progresses,” the CIK spokesperson added. The arrest of Parvez Ahmad Khan represents a crucial step in disrupting the flow of funds that fuel terrorism in the J&K.
