Muzaffarpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Monday, launched a blistering attack on the Congress and RJD while addressing an election rally in Muzaffarpur in support of NDA candidate Ranjan Kumar, describing the two parties as “eclipses on Bihar’s development”. CM Yogi accused the two parties of pushing Bihar into an era of crime, corruption, and anarchy.
“From 1992 to 2005, Bihar witnessed a reign of terror—marked by caste massacres, kidnappings, and mafia dominance,” Yogi Adityanath said. He alleged that more than 60 caste massacres and over 30,000 kidnappings took place during the RJD regime, affecting businessmen, doctors, engineers, and even children. “No IAS or IPS officer was willing to serve in Bihar; the state used to shut down like a curfew after 6 pm,” he said, recalling that even the Patna High Court had remarked that goons were running the government.
Highlighting the corruption and lawlessness of that period, he said, “The poor were deprived of rations while a ₹900 crore fodder scam was carried out. Paper leaks had become an industry, robbing the youth of their future.”
Ridiculing the then administration, he remarked, “In those days, the question in Bihar was—who would carry the Chief Minister’s spittoon? The DGP was reduced to a Munshi, and the Chief Secretary to a Babu.” Governance, he said, had become a mockery as farmers and traders were forced to migrate, and those demanding roads were met with police threats.
“Caste violence, road theft, pond theft, bridge theft, and booth theft were hallmarks of the RJD’s so-called development model,” Yogi said. He accused the “dynastic looters” of giving rise to “dynastic mafias” and warned that these very forces were once again trying to drag Bihar back into darkness.
Highlighting Bihar’s transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Yogi said, “The state is scripting a new chapter of progress. Today, Bihar is connected by rail, air, and waterways; products like makhana are reaching international markets; and the state boasts IIMs, AIIMS, and numerous medical and engineering colleges. Farmers are benefiting from the Kisan Samman Nidhi, traders enjoy security, and entrepreneurs are gaining from growing investment opportunities.”
Yogi Adityanath remarked that Bihar is once again moving towards the golden age reminiscent of the Mauryan period. He said, “This is the same sacred land that enlightened Lord Buddha, gave birth to Lord Mahavir, and produced great rulers like Maharaja Kameshwar Singh, who nurtured education, art, and spirituality. Artists like Padmashree Sharda Sinha have brought global fame to Mithila and Bhojpuri culture, and today, the Modi government is reviving that glorious heritage.”
Attacking the opposition, Yogi accused the Congress and RJD of being “anti-religion and anti-heritage.” He asked, “Could Lalu Prasad Yadav or the Congress ever have built the Ram Temple in Ayodhya or the Janaki Temple in Sitamarhi? This has only been possible under the NDA’s leadership.”
Drawing on Mahatma Gandhi’s teaching of the three monkeys, Yogi quipped, “Gandhiji taught us to see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil. But today, the three monkeys of the opposition—Pappu, Tappu, and Appu—neither see the truth, hear it, nor speak it. They want to push Bihar back into an identity crisis.”
Highlighting the success of the UP model, he said, “We used bulldozers to eliminate the mafia in Uttar Pradesh. Today, there’s no crime, no riots, and peace prevails. Now, the NDA will heal Bihar and make it a golden state.”
Praising the youth of Bihar, CM Yogi said they have achieved global recognition through their talent and determination. Urging unity, he added, “The time has come for Bihar’s youth to rise again. Keep the eclipses of development—the RJD and Congress—away from power.”
Concluding his address, he said, “Batenge tou katenge, ek rahenge tou safe rahenge. The NDA stands for security, prosperity, heritage, and development.” CM Yogi appealed to the people to ensure a resounding victory for the NDA candidate, Ranjan Kumar, in the November 6 elections.
The event was attended by Union Minister Dr. Rajbhushan Chaudhary, UP Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, Mayor Nirmala Sahu, former Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra, BJP District President Vivek Kumar, District Incharge Ramesh Srivastava, and several local leaders, including Mukesh Sharma, Harimohan Chaudhary, Dharmendra Kushwaha, Rameshwar Kushwaha, Rambabu Kushwaha, Dr. Monalisa, Fekuram, Deepak Banka, Ranjeet Sahni, Vikas Gupta, Nand Kishore, Chulbul Sahi, and NDA candidate Ranjan Kumar.
