UK: Indian student carries ‘drunk’ woman in arms, sexually assault her
New Delhi: A 20-year-old Indian student named Preet Vikal has been sentenced to to six years and nine months in a young offenders' institution for sexual assault with an "intoxicated" girl, reported BBC.
Vikal had admitted to rape the young woman after he met the victim in a night club in Cardiff city in June last year. The accused accepted the charges. As per media reports, he also took a "trophy selifie" with the woman before committing the crime. Meanwhile, the girl stated that she could not sleep since the incident.
A video was going viral on the internet of Preet Vikal in which he was carrying a woman in his arms and taking to her residence for sexually assaulting her later.
As per the cops, the woman was returning from the club along with her friends. However, she seperated from them after a while and then, she was seen in the video being carried by Vikal.
He will serve two thirds of his sentence in custody and the remainder on licence.
