Ujjain: A harrowing case of brutal sexual assault has emerged from Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district on Wednesday. The incident resembles the Nirbhaya gang rape case that occured in the national capital Delhi.
The incident that got recorded on various CCTV have now been revealed in public domain. A 12-year-old girl was seen running across the roads on Ujjain in a seminude state. She was brutally raped and left on road before she gathered her strength and walked to find a safe place. To her dismay she was not able to find any help or any place to be for over 2.5 hours and she roamed on the city streets.
CCTV footage revealed?
The brutal incident occured on the Badnagar road near the Dandi Ashram road. After this, the girl was rushed to the hospital where she was referred to Indore.
In the CCTV footage of 1 minute 7 seconds, the girl can be seen wandering in a semi-conscious state. She also talked to an old man and apparently sought help. As inferred from the the language of the girl, she belongs to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Police sets up SIT, seeks public help
Responding on the matter, SP Sachin Sharma informed that an SIT has been formed. The police is investigating and searching for the accused on the basis of both technical and physical evidence.
The rape was confirmed after medical examination of the victim was done. SP Sharma has also appealed to the general public that if anyone has any information in this regard or they have any apprehensions regarding the identity of the accused, they should reach out to the police and provide them with information that might prove beneficial in taking the investigation further.
SP Sharma further said that a case has been registered against unknown person in this regard. The case has been filed at the Mahalkaal police station.
Meanwhile, the victim is in a critical condition and has been referred to Indore. the doctors, however, were unable to arrange the required amount of blood that was required for the treatment.
Furthermore, some police officials also donated blood to mitigate the shortage. Further details in the matter are awaited.
