Mumbai: Union minister Narayan Rane on Wednesday said that Shiv Sena (UBT) head Uddhav Thackeray had tried to give contract for killing him.

Taking to reporters, The BJP MP also claimed when Mr Thackeray was Chief Minister, he was responsible for corruption in the procurement of medicines during the Covid period.

“Uddav Thackeray had tried to give contracts to kill me. I used to receive calls from many people warning me about it. He tried to give ‘Supari’ to many people to kill me, but none of them could ever touch me. Some of them even warned me,” Rane claimed.

Mr Narayan Rane, a former Shiv Sena leader, has been very vocal against Thackeray since he parted away from BJP.
