The incident occurred in Malama village, situated in Hilsa town, when the two sisters-in-law engaged in a public confrontation, each vying for the affections of their common brother-in-law. Their family members were swift to catch wind of this commotion, and it wasn’t long before they too arrived at the scene, further intensifying the tension.

The core of the matter was Harendra Paswan, a resident of Malama village, who is the youngest among his three brothers. Unfortunately, one of his elder brothers had passed away a few months prior. This elder brother had three children, and the family’s intention was for Harendra to marry the widow of his late elder brother. However, when the wife of the middle brother learned of this decision, she too harboured ambitions of marrying Harendra, perhaps enticed by the idea of gaining property.

The determination of these two sisters-in-law to become the wife of their brother-in-law quickly transformed a family matter into a chaotic ordeal. The fight resulted in injuries to individuals from both factions, some of whom have been subsequently hospitalized for treatment. As the news of the dispute reached the police, they intervened to defuse the situation.

The police promptly arrived at the scene, comprehended the situation, and successfully conducted a wedding ceremony between Harendra and his late elder brother’s widow. As of now, the sibling-in-law marriage issue continues to be a hot topic of discussion across various social media platforms.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
