Borewell case: A 7-year-old boy on Tuesday fell into a borewell in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh. A rescue operation is underway to save the boy, according to the police official.
Meanwhile, another 5-year-old child died on Tuesday who fell into the borewell in Kopardi village under Karjat tehsil, around 125 km from Pune city, around 5 pm on Monday, a police official said.
A rescue operation of at least nine hours to save a five-year-old Sagar Barela who fell into a borewell in a village in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district proved futile as he was pulled out dead in the early hours of Tuesday, officials said.
Sagar Barela, was the son of a sugarcane worker who hailed from Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh.
In an another borewell case in Madhya Pradesh, the boy, Lokesh Ahirwar, was playing near by the borewell when he accidently fell into the narrow hole around 11 am at Kherkhedi Pathar village under Lateri tehsil in the district, offcial informed.
According to Lateri sub-divisional magistrate Harshal Choudhary, a rescue team responded to the villagers’ call for help, arrived on the scene, and started working to securely free the youngster.
A JCB equipment (an earthmover) is currently being used to securely extract the child, and a camera was also dropped down the borewell to further monitor the boy’s condition, he added.
