Ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections, actor-politician and TVK chief aimed to present his party as a third front in the state’s political landscape, an alternative to both the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the opposition All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). During his address, Vijay alleged that the DMK has a secret alliance with the BJP, while pretending to oppose it in public. His rally witnessed a massive show of strength as party workers gathered in large numbers to participate.

Vijay Criticises BJP, DMK
He came down heavily on the BJP, calling the party as its only ideological enemy. Vijay didn’t even spare the ruling DMK, and termed it as TVK’s “only political enemy.”
“Our only ideological enemy is BJP, our only political enemy is DMK…TVK is not a party that was started just for some political benefits. Our priority is the safety of women, elders and children. Our government would be friendly to whoever needs special attention, like farmers, youth, transgender people, elders without care, and physically challenged people,” Vijay added.

TVK Chief Challenges PM Modi
During his address, Vijay also raised the contentious issue of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) issue in Tamil Nadu, challenging Prime Minister Modi to revoke NEET. He said, “Revoke NEET! Can you do it, Narendra Modi avargal?”
“Due of your stubbornness, you continue to impose the NEET exam, and it pains me to even speak about what is happening here because of it. NEET must be abolished. Will you do this? You will never give us what we want or do what is right for us,” the TVK Chief added.
