Tushar Mehta gets 2nd extension as Solicitor General; will represent Centre for another 3 years
New Delhi: Government of India on Friday re-appointed Tushar Mehta as Solicitor General of India.
Mehata will remain on the post for 3 more years as Government has given an extension to his tenure for the second time.
Tushar was appointed as the solicitor General of India in 2018. In 2020, he got his first extension.
Ministry of Personnel, in a notification, said Mehta would reappoint to his post from July 01.
Besides Mehata, Government has re-appointed senior advocates Vikramjit Banerjee, KM Natarajan, Balbir Singh, S V Raju, N Venkataraman and Aishwarya Bhati as Additional Solicitors Generals.
