After the Pahalgam attack, India has become more vigilant along the borders shared with Pakistan and China. India has strongly warned Pakistan that any ceasefire violation or act of aggression along the border will be treated as an act of war and will be met with an immediate response. Keeping the word the Indian defence forces are in full swing along the borders. How is India strengthening its military power along the borders? How is it ensuring border security while instilling fear in its enemy nations?

Three military exercises are underway: Trishul (Pakistan border, 20,000 soldiers), Astra Shakti (Ladakh, drones and artillery), and Sentinel Strike (Rajasthan, night operations).

This exercise is underway in the cold heights of Ladakh. The thunder of long-range artillery fire, drone swarms, counter-UAS (drone interception operations), and commando strikes were seen. This is a theater-level exercise, showcasing new technology and cohesion. Perfect for preparing for high-altitude combat. It is a spectacle of precision, strength, and unity. This exercise demonstrates India’s unwavering spirit while keeping an eye on the China border.
Exercise Sentinel Strike: Night Exercises in Rajasthan
This is an integrated firing exercise involving modern artillery, lethal ammunition, and night operations. It began on October 28 at the Jaipur and Mahajan firing ranges in Rajasthan. It combines ground operations, air strikes, and artillery. This is considered to be crucial for western border preparedness. This is meant for the Army’s agility and precision. The exercise include the drone swarms, firearms firing, and joint operations, showcasing the Army’s strength and innovation.
‘New Normal’ Policy
Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh of the Indian Army’s Southwestern Command has clearly warned that any terrorist attack on India will now be considered war. He stated that under the “New Normal” policy, any such incident would face an immediate and strong response. This warning follows the policy introduced after the 2025 Pahalgam attack. The Army is currently conducting three major exercises to showcase its preparedness to tackle threats from Pakistan and China.
