Agartala: A ruckus broke out between MLAs of the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and MLAs of Tipra MOTHA party during the ongoing Assembly session on Friday. According to information, Animesh Debbarma, a leader of the Opposition party (Tipra Motha), raised a question on the issue of watching Porn in the Assembly by one of the BJP MLAs. Upon this, the Speaker of the Assembly said to get back to him after listening to some other important issues. But the MLAs from the Opposition side started slogging, which turned into some scruffle between the two sides. Later on, the Speaker suspended the five aggressive MLAs from the house for their unruly behaviour. It was alleged that BJP MLA from Bagbassa Assembly was caught watching porn in the state Assembly.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha condemn the act and termed it as anti-democratic.
"Whatever happened in the Assembly house today on the 1st day of the Budget Session was unbelievable, and unfair since Assembly happens to be the sacred place & temple of Democracy. The way they demonstrated their protest is sinful," said Tripura CM Manik Saha.
