Tragic Incident: 5 Soldiers Swept Away In Tank While Crossing River Near China Border

Authorities discovered one body after a T-72 tank, crewed by a junior commissioned officer (JCO) and four soldiers, sank because water levels suddenly rose.

According to a statement by defence officials, five army soldiers were swept away in flash floods in eastern Ladakh early Saturday.

The search is ongoing for the remaining four soldiers in the Daulat Beg Oldie and Nyoma-Chushul region near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
