The intensity of the earthquake was such that it reverberated far beyond Nepal’s borders, sending tremors felt by residents of Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, and Faridabad in India. In response to the quake, people living in neighbouring districts, such as Maharajgang, Gorakhpur, and Champaran, were also prompted to leave their homes in search of safety.
The aftermath of this natural disaster serves as a sobering reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by communities in earthquake-prone regions. It underscores the importance of preparedness, prompt response, and international cooperation in times of crisis, as Nepal begins the challenging process of recovery and rehabilitation in the wake of this tragic event.
