In Supaul, Bihar, an under-construction bridge collapsed, killing one and trapping dozens more. After the collapse at around 7 am today, the busy construction site in Maricha became a picture of confusion and devastation, prompting local officials and the public to start an immediate rescue operation.

According to the authorities, 30 workers may still be buried beneath the rubble. Reportedly, the construction of the bridge over the Kosi River was underway for ₹ 984 million.
What did the area Magistrate say?
The incident happened close to Maricha, in the area where they were building the bridge between Bheja and Bakaur in Bihar. According to Kaushal Kumar, the Supaul District Magistrate, the event has resulted in nine worker injuries.

A segment of the bridge is seen hanging down in the video, while people are standing in a crowd nearby. The rescue personnel reached the spot and efforts are in progress to free the stranded workers from the collapsed bridge.

Officials stated that work was being done on the bridge across the Koshi River. Senior administration officials were present at the incident site, which was close to Maricha and between Bakur and Bheja, according to Kumar.
“A worker lost his life and another was hurt. He remarked, “Rescue work is underway,” according to news agency PTI.
