TRAGEDY Before Diwali: 29 Seriously Injured As Bus Carrying Bihar Special Arms Police Personnel Falls Into Ditch

Ten injured personnel have been admitted to the district hospital and 19 are undergoing treatment at the Community Health Center, Sonbarsa, Bairia.

Ballia, Uttar Pradesh: Twenty-nine passengers were injured after a private bus carrying Special Arms Police personnel from Bihar overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Ballia on Tuesday. The accident occurred late midnight when the bus was on its way to Siwan, Bihar.

Ten injured personnel have been admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ballia, and 19 others are undergoing medical treatment at the Community Health Center, Sonbarsa, Bairia. All the injured persons are reported as stable. They were reportedly heading for peace and order duty before Diwali and Chhath.

Deputy SP of Bihar Arms Police Force, Lallan Prasad Singh said, "The incident happened late midnight when police personnel were travelling to Siwan in Bihar."

In yet another similar incident, at least 30 passengers, including nursing college students were reportedly injured on October 29 after a private bus fell into a ditch in Jammu & Kashmir's Udhampur.

 

According to officials, the mini-bus was en route to Udhampur from Salmari when it met with the tragedy near village Farma.

The injured were immediately rushed to a Government Medical College Hospital for medical treatment. Deputy Commissioner (Udhampur) Saloni Rai visited the injured passengers to take stock of the situation.
