The Delhi Traffic Police have issued a detailed advisory for commuters ahead of the ‘Run for Unity’ event being organised on the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The advisory warns that traffic movement may be affected for several hours along the stretch where the marathon will take place. People travelling in these areas have been asked to plan their routes carefully to avoid delays.
Delhi Traffic Advisory: Route & Restrictions
The marathon is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, and the Delhi Traffic Police shared all important updates on X, including information about road closures, diversions, and restricted stretches. They also released the official route map of the run so that commuters can take alternate paths if needed.
The event will begin at the DDA Sports Complex and will end in Pitampura. The marathon route will pass through Maya Muni Ram Marg, move towards the MCD Parking area, and finally reach the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Commercial Complex near Road No. 44 in Pitampura. Traffic police have advised motorists to follow signboards, use navigation apps, and avoid the marathon route during the event hours to ensure smooth movement across the city.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY
In connection with the “Run for Unity” on the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place on 22.11.2025 (08:30 AM – 12:00 Noon) to ensure smooth movement.

A large number of people are expected to join the event, which may lead to traffic diversions and parking restrictions in nearby areas. Commuters have been advised to avoid the affected roads and use public transport to reduce congestion. Around 2,000 participants are expected to take part in the run.
Delhi Traffic Advisory: Saturday Timings
Traffic on the marathon route will be affected from 8:30 am to 12 noon on Saturday, November 22.
Delhi Traffic Diversion: Restricted Roads Today
The advisory will be in place for 3.5 hours, from 8:30 am to 12 pm. Commuters, especially those driving heavy vehicles, are advised to avoid the following roads during this time:
- Maya Muni Ram Marg
- Lala Jagat Narain Marg
- Road No. 44, Pitampura
- M2K Road
Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on these roads while the event is underway. Drivers are urged to follow traffic rules and plan their travel, as large crowds may slow down movement. Parking on the roadside will not be allowed on Maya Muni Ram Marg, Lala Jagat Narain Marg, and Road No. 44 in Pitampura.
