However, after Ajit Pwar carried out the revolt within the party, NCP chief Sharad Pawar declared Jitendra Awhad as the new LoP.
Meanwhile, the Congress started to make demands that the LoP should be of their choice since they have the highest strength in the Assembly. The request was also affirmed by Sharad Pawar who said that “the Congress’ demand is appropriate.”
“According to my information, Congress currently has the biggest strength now in the state assembly and if that party has claimed leader of opposition’s post, then their demand is appropriate,” Pawar said.
