BJP took out rallies on the festival of Ram Navami festival in West Bengal on Sunday. BJP leader Locket Chatterjee got involved in a verbal spat with police in Keshtopur, alleging that cops were trying to stop the procession. The two parties, BJP and TMC, traded barbs on the occasion.
‘Hindus Forced to Go to Court Over Every Hindu Festival’
Union Minister and state BJP president Sukanta Majumdar said, “Mamata Banerjee is trying in every way to show Hindus that they are second-class citizens, that is why Hindus have to go to court on every Hindu festival. And the biggest thing is that more than 70 percent of Hindus are there in West Bengal. Despite this, such a large number of police forces have to be deployed in the state to celebrate Ram Navami peacefully. The entire West Bengal should think on this issue.”

On the other hand, TMC slammed the BJP, stating that BJP leaders and workers were involved in violence and Lord Ram did not like it. He said it was the reason that the BJP lost Ayodhya.
‘Lord Ram doesn’t like violence, but they (BJP) are involved in it’
TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee said, “…We do not do politics based on religion like the BJP. We worship all the gods like Hanuman ji, Ram ji… They didn’t get the votes of ‘original’ Hindus, they got the votes of ‘fake’ Hindus… Lord Ram doesn’t like violence, but they (BJP) are involved in it, and hence they lost in Ayodhya.”
