JP Nadda Asks For Detailed Report
JP Nadda Stated “I spoke to Andra CM regarding the matter and I have asked him for a detailed report on the case so that we can examine it. I will also speak to the state’s regulatory bodies and investigate this and will take action on it as per the food safety standards”.
Previously, Food Minister Prahlad Joshi called for an investigation Amid the Laddu Row.
Recently, Andra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu alleged the use of animal fat In Tirupati laddus. His allegations have sparked concern among devotees.
Food Minister Expresses Concern Over Tirupati Laddu Row
Joshi told the media “Whatever CM has said is a big matter of concern, a detailed inquiry is a must on this matter and if something like this has happened the culprit should be punished”.
During an NDA legislative meeting on Wednesday, CM Naidu claimed that the previous government did not even spare Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati and used low-quality ingredients and Animal fat to make prasad.
Gujarat-Based Company Confirmed The Adulteration
TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy on Thursday stated in a press conference in Amravati that the adulteration has been confirmed by a Gujarat-based livestock laboratory, by getting the tests done on the Ghee Samples provided by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams which manages the Temple.
He displayed the report which confirmed the presence of beef tallow and fish oil in the Laddus. The recipient reported dated 16 July whereas the sample reported 21 July. However, neither the Andhra government nor the TDP confirmed the report.
