Zaid initially filed a complaint at the Saudia airline's counter at KIA, where they assured him that the luggage would be delivered

28-year-old businessman Mohammed Zaid, hailing from Tumakuru, arrived at Bengaluru‘s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on a Saudia Airlines flight from Jeddah on October 18, 2023, following a pilgrimage. Unfortunately, both his suitcase and a carton he had checked in before boarding the flight failed to reach Bangalore Airport. Despite the passage of three months, Zaid’s luggage has yet to be located.

The missing luggage, containing valuable items worth Rs 1.5 Lakhs, such as watches, clothes, and other gifts purchased overseas for a family wedding, remains unaccounted for. Despite Zaid’s efforts, the airline is unable to provide any information on its whereabouts. Zaid initially filed a complaint at the Saudia airline’s counter at KIA, where they assured him that the luggage would be delivered to his residence. While the carton arrived home two days later, Zaid’s suitcase is still yet to be located.

Subsequently, Zaid filed another complaint with the airline, and they requested a 15-day period to locate the bag, assuring its retrieval just in time for the wedding. Unfortunately, the airline failed to fulfill this commitment. According to a report, Zaid expressed his frustration, revealing that despite his persistent attempts to contact their helpline, the representatives who eventually answered his call confidently declared that the claim number for his lost baggage is invalid. This left him with the disheartening realization that his bag is irretrievably lost.
