Police said a speeding Jaguar car hit a cab near Dhaula Kuan in the national capital early Sunday morning, injuring three people.
The cab driver and two passengers suffered serious injuries, leading to their admission to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, according to the Delhi Police.
Speaking to the news agency ANI, eyewitness Dheeraj Gupta recounted, “I was peacefully sleeping when suddenly, a loud noise woke me up. I observed two cars approaching from opposite directions and colliding. Following that, one of the cars crashed into the median. Inside the Jaguar were two individuals, a boy and a girl, who sustained minor injuries.”
However, he mentioned that the occupants of the cab sustained serious injuries.
“The driver sustained serious injuries. We dialed 100 and contacted the PCR. The PCR arrived, and they transported them to the hospital,” the eyewitness reported.
All of them have been admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre with serious conditions.
One PCR in Delhi received a call about an accident involving two vehicles around NUM:00 am, resulting in injuries to three individuals.
AIIMS admitted the injured cab driver, Harjeet Singh, residing in Ganesh Nagar 2, Shakarpur, Delhi, along with the other two passengers in the cab.
Police said they are taking legal action as per the law and have dispatched teams to apprehend the accused.
