Three Dead In Faridabad After AC Fire Fills Family’s Home With Toxic Smoke

The accident started due to a fire in a split AC installed in Rakesh Malik's house on the first floor, the smoke from which engulfed the house of the Kapoor family living on the second floor.

Three members of a family died in a horrific accident in Green Field Colony of Faridabad on Monday morning. The incident took place at around 4 am when an AC caught fire in a multi-storey building, filling the entire flat with thick and poisonous smoke.

According to the information, the deceased include Sachin Kapoor, his wife Rinku, and daughter Sujan. The accident started due to a fire in a split AC installed in Rakesh Malik’s house on the first floor, the smoke from which engulfed the house of the Kapoor family living on the second floor. All three died on the spot due to suffocation. Sachin’s son Aryan, somehow escaped. He jumped from the second floor to save his life, due to which he was seriously injured. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Rakesh Malik realized the fire in time and took his family out safely. However, the Kapoor family living on the upper floor did not know anything until smoke filled their room. By the time help arrived, it was too late.

When the relief and rescue team reached the spot, all three members were found unconscious. They were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

The Faridabad Police has started investigating the case, and initially, a short circuit is being considered the cause of the fire.
