THIS State Offers Free Maha Kumbh Travel For Senior Citizens—Check Eligibility Criteria

There are various arrangements made by administrations for the devotees visiting the Sangam City.

The Prayagraj fair began on January 13, 2025, and will end on auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri on February 26, 2025. Saints and prominent personalities are visiting Prayagraj to attend the biggest fair of the country Maha Kumbh. Over 45 crore devotees are expected to visit the biggest fair of the country, as per media reports.

There are various arrangements made by administrations for the devotees visiting the Sangam City. Once such arrangement is given by Haryana Government to the senior citizens of their state to travel Maha Kumbh for free of cost.

This facility is provided to them under the Chief Minister Teerth Scheme. The main objective of this scheme is to give spiritual opportunities senior citizens of state.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail this benefit the senior citizen should be the resident of Haryana. Apart from this, the family income should not cross Rs 1,80,000 annually. As per media reports, every year 250 senior citizens are taken to pilgrimage under this scheme.
