Five army soldiers and one special police officer were injured when terrorists opened fire at the Army’s Temporary Operating Base (TOB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Wednesday. During the gunfight, a terrorist was also neutralized.
The Kashmir Tigers terror group has taken responsibility for the ambush on security forces.
An ongoing encounter and search operation is being conducted to apprehend the terrorists. This marks the third terror attack in the Jammu region over the last three days, following incidents in Reasi and Kathua.
The terrorist attack in Doda district occurred just hours after a terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces following an attack on a home in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district. Union Minister Jitendra Singh reported that the terrorists targeted a home in Kathua’s Saida Sukhal village in the Hiranagar sector, near the International Border (IB).
