National Lok Adalat 2025: The third National Lok Adalat of 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, September 13. This date is uniform across the country. The Lok Adalat will address a variety of cases including criminal compoundable offences, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act (Section 138), bank recovery cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, matrimonial disputes, labour disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water bills (excluding non-compoundable theft cases), service matters concerning pay, allowances, and retirement benefits, revenue cases, and other civil cases such as rent disputes, etc.

Lok Adalat is organised to provide relief to the public on several legal matter. Since it is meant for the general public, it is also known as Jan Adalat. In this forum, you can settle pending legal and disputes with mutual consent. Along with this, the amount of traffic challan can also be reduced here. Moreover, various cases, including family matters such as property acquisition, financial disputes, and marital issues, will be settled at the Lok Adalat.
The Lok Adalat is held in the district court, all taluka-level courts, labour and industrial courts, family courts, consumer forums, and other tribunals within the jurisdiction. Citizens wishing to place their cases in the National Lok Adalat must submit applications to the concerned courts for pending matters.
