The Agra Police have launched an investigation after a woman made serious allegations against the staff of the Kalindi Vihar, Trans Yamuna Police Station. The woman, identified as Sarju Yadav, accused the police personnel, including the Station House Officer (SHO), of misbehaving with her. In a video statement, she alleged she was thrashed and that her clothes were torn inside the station premises.
In the disturbing video, the woman detailed the allegations, stating that she would commit suicide if she doesn’t get justice. She also held the staff of the Trans Yamuna Police Station and the SHO responsible. According to media reports, she had gone to the police station to inquire about a case that had already been concluded.
Things took an ugly turn when an altercation broke out between her and a female police officer. She claimed that instead of assisting her with her house burglary case, the police took action against her. A video of the incident is going viral on social media, showing the cop and the woman engaged in a physical confrontation.
On the other hand, the Agra Police released a statement saying, “On August 19, 2025, complainant Mrs. Sarju Yadav, resident of Kalindi Vihar, Trans Yamuna Police Station, visited the police station to check the status of her case (Crime No. 370/24 under Sections 350/331(4) BNS),” TOI reported.
According to the Agra Police’s version of events, the woman’s case had already been closed in January. When she visited the station to check on it, she began recording a video on her phone. When the sub-inspector at the help desk stopped her, Yadav allegedly “misbehaved, abused, and physically assaulted” the female cop and even attempted to harm herself.
“Despite repeated efforts to pacify her, she did not calm down. Fearing the possibility of a cognizable offence, Mrs. Yadav was immediately booked under Sections 126/135/170 BNS and sent to the court. The allegations made by her against the police are baseless and false,” the Agra Police said.
