Digvijaya Singh Makes Big Claim On BJP
On Monday, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh reiterated his claims about EVM tampering, asserting that if the BJP wins more than 300 seats, it would be due to the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) rather than the people’s vote.
When questioned about the INDIA bloc’s prospects, Singh predicted that the opposition bloc would secure 295 seats and form the next government. “If the people have voted, then the BJP will not get a majority, and the 295 seats projected by Congress for the INDIA alliance is accurate. If they surpass 300 seats, it is due to the EVMs, not the people’s vote,” he stated.
Singh, a former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Rajgarh in the state.
Most exit polls forecast that the NDA will exceed 360 seats, nearing Modi’s ambitious goal of “400 paar.” For the INDIA bloc, the exit polls predict over 180 seats, about one-third of the total seats.
